Insert Snippets with reusable text for emails

If you send lots of similar email messages, this will quickly become one of your favorite features in Intellect because it is such a time-saver!

If you have frequently used information that you add to email replies over and over, you can (and should) save your response as a "snippet."

Snippets are really a folder full of little .html files, each with commonly used content ready to insert into any email message you write.

To save a snippet, you should highlight a block of text that you want to make reusable. Then, press F8 on your keyboard or right click and choose "Copy Selection to Snippet" You will be prompted for a Snippet name for this text you have highlighted.

To use a snippet you saved, click the button on the toolbar above the message content to toggle on the Insert Sidebar. This opens a panel to the right for Emoji, Snippets, Merge Fields and Stationery styles. Click the tab for Snippets and you will see a list of all your saved Snippets to select from.

The top of this Snippets list has buttons to rename a snippet or to delete one. You can also type in the box next to the delete button to have Intellect help you find snippets that include what you typed as part of the snippet name, which is escpecially useful as you get more and more snippets collected here.

Finally, keep in mind this Insert Sidebar will stay on until you turn it off (by clicking the Insert Sidebar toggle button again on the toolbar). Some users will find them inserting all the time and they will prefer to leave it on for ready access. Other users only use this once in a while so you can turn it on and off as you go.

This video from our Chaos University video series hasn't been updated yet for version 10.3 and newer, but it will give you a visual idea of how this feature works:
