Hello from Chaos Software Group! We are excited to announce our new versions of Chaos Intellect and Time & Chaos 7 programs have been released!

Color Themes

We have added the equivalent of a fresh coat of paint to our new versions, with the bonus that you get to decide what color that new coat of paint will be!

If you go to Tools, Options, Appearance in the new release, you'll find some new Theme choices, both for base color, as well as an option to enable the colorful captions or section headings we first introduced in T&C 6.

What is the end result of making these choices? All of the screens in Time & Chaos and Intellect have been updated with this more modern look, and they will follow the color theme you pick. The screen shot above shows the Blue theme in effect on the Appearance tab. Here are some examples of what a new color theme does to the Classic screen:

What else is new in the latest release?

Updates in Chaos Intellect 3.0.3.5 and Time & Chaos 7.0.3.5

• Entering times on new appointments has been much improved to support other time formats you might use that Windows cannot normally recognize. For example: 1920, 7.20p, 7p
• If you are a power user of our report screen, you'll be happy to learn the Load and Save Report Specifications now additionally save the column sorting as well as the type of data being searched.
• Using Hotkeys or the scrollwheel to move around the monthly navigation calendars has been improved.
• In the Tasks area, selecting the Month view mode is now a sticky (remembered) option.
• The default priority checkbox on the task entry screen has been moved to Task Options with the other task priorities.
•  If you import .VCS (vCalendar files) containing <br> or <br/> instead of a CRLF, we now handle this conversion on the fly.
• If default language is English, the startup time for the program has been slightly improved by skipping the loading of the language.sil file used for other language translations.

Updates in Chaos Intellect 3.0.3.5 only

• New Mail messages can now be created from the Linked Mail tab on a contact.
• Copy to Inbox from server headers now works on messages from IMAP servers.
• A few tweaks have also been made to speed up the listing of IMAP messages under server headers
• On contacts, we can now highlight one or more contacts, right click, choose "Send To" to attach vCards to an outgoing email message
• Any new or updated stationery files provided with a new version of Intellect are now added to the user stationery folder automatically.

How to update your software

If you would like to update a previous version of Time & Chaos 7 or Chaos Intellect 3, just go to the Help menu and look for "Check for newer version". Using this option, the program will check for a newer version and offer to download and install it for you.

We recommend allowing it to use the options that it wants to during install to replace your old version with the new. Any data files you have will not be affected by installing the update!
