Hello from Chaos Software Group!

Another new build of our Chaos Intellect and Time & Chaos programs has been released as we continue to incorporate some of your great suggestions, as well as tweak on things to just make it a bit better.

The current version of Chaos Intellect is now 3.0.3.3 and for Time and Chaos, 7.0.3.3.

Before we get into what's new in this version though, we also want to make a few quick mentions of our newest partners...

A new Point of Sale software partner

Fastrac is a fully featured retail/wholesale/service Point Of Sale package that integrates with the contact phone book of Intellect and Time & Chaos. It allows for invoicing, inventory control, sales and service history, multiple pricing and discount levels, purchase orders for vendors, hold/suspend of tickets and multiple payment types (including open accounts). It supports electronic cash drawers, barcode readers and printers (we also print barcoded labels on standard inkjet or laser printers), min/max inventory levels, service sales by hourly rate or service plan, and multiple markup schedules based on cost. With that, on to what you'll find in the new versions of Chaos Intellect and Time & Chaos...

Memos & Lists Preview Window

The new releases of Chaos Intellect and Time & Chaos now offer the ability to preview the content of your memos as you browse up and down the list of memos you have created. You can drag the divider between the list of subjects and the memo contents to get the alignment just the way you like it.

What else is new?

Updates in Chaos Intellect 3.0.3.3 and Time & Chaos 7.0.3.3

• Printing of the appointment grid or task grid now supports color!
• The Quick Find search results window has now been made "non-modal", which means you can now leave the results open and perform other actions. You can also now minimize your quick find results and even open multiple quick find windows simultaneously.
• Appointment Dayview and Weekview modes now have the option of customizing the Day Start Time, Day End Time, Active Day Start Time and Active End Time. These options are located under the Display menu on that screen.
• There is a new appearance option to allow popup dialogs to fall behind the main application screen. Power users may enjoy this option as popup windows can now be independently minimized from the main application screen.
• A bug has been fixed that caused an error when right clicking on an appointment in the weekly planner to select the edit menu options.
• An update to the mapquest link in the contact list to adapt to their website's changed formats.
• We have corrected a print issue on contact profiles where an extremely long note could cut off the last couple of lines
• We have updated the built-in link to the new web address for the Forum Chaos users group.

Updates in Chaos Intellect 3.0.3.3 only

• Fixed an issue that some XP users reported where a rogue browser window would occasionally popup when changing mail folders
• Fixed a bug that prevented a user from selecting their own mail notification sound. If multiple users are sharing a common mailbox, this will keep the current view in synch with other users. For example if new mail arrives or a message is deleted, the networked users would see the change to their message lists immediately.
• Fixed a bug that prevented an SSL connection to AT&T Yahoo mail servers on a Vista machine

How to update your software

If you would like to update a previous version of Time & Chaos 7 or Chaos Intellect 3, just go to the Help menu and look for "Check for newer version". Using this option, the program will check for a newer version and offer to download and install it for you.

We recommend allowing it to use the options that it wants to during install to replace your old version with the new. Any data files you have will not be affected by installing the update!
